Helix jump

Am I the only one accidentally looking up when trying to helix jump?It’s really annoying because most of the time I end up loosing my combo stack, in addition to that to get gold on weapons and characters do you have to sustain s rank combo or do complete the level in a specific amount of time or something?

For anyone having problems with the open world weapon stuff, when adding the characters to the wheel change click the load out button and change it to something other then the active character’s.
