Am I the only one accidentally looking up when trying to helix jump?

It’s really annoying because most of the time I end up loosing my combo stack, in addition to that to get gold on weapons and characters do you have to sustain s rank combo or do complete the level in a specific amount of time or something?

I’m trying to get Rebeca’s weapon but can’t get the blueprint.
