Why I think Psyche is best dna character (story wise)
Psyche was only a young girl whose life had barely begun. Because of her illness she was never able to truly experience the world around her. She could not see, feel or live as others did, yet her dreams were small and simple. She never wanted much. As her senses slowly faded, her sight and perception growing weaker, she knew exactly what awaited her in the end. Despite this knowledge she remained a kind, gentle and warm person.After her transformation she understood that she had become nothing more than a danger to others. Knowing this, she chose to sacrifice her own life to protect them. She was prepared for that choice. The scene of her death is absolutely heartbreaking. Playable characters rarely die in games, and it is even rarer for them to die in such a cruel and final way. Until the very last second the game gives us hope that she can still be saved, making the moment even more painful.This was the first death in the game, and honestly I never expected it to happen at all. Throughout the story the game keeps the player in constant tension. On one hand it feels like another game afraid to show the death of an important character. On the other, there is always that small chance that it will actually go through with it. Thankfully, it chose the second option. Of course I do not mean that I am happy Psyche died, not at all. Her death simply adds powerful drama and emotional depth to her story.I also love her relationship with the main character. Psyche never wanted romance or grand things, only friendship and a few good moments while she still had time. Knowing her life would be short, she tried to take as much as she could from it instead of giving up. That is deeply human and deeply beautiful.
