Hence you have to equip her demon wedges that help her with increased crit chances and damage. Feel free to mess around. Don't get overwhelmed by all the information. You can experiment things.

There is no tried and true way to build a character with wedges... you just have to go with what you want to accomplish. let's take Rebecca as an example, if you look at her kit (attribute and skills) you know that she's a character who heavily benefits from skill damage. Hence naturally equipping her with demon wedges that increases her skill range, duration, efficiency, sanity can benefit her where as for example Berenica benefits a lot of restoring sanity from critical hits hence

Also as you might have known, there are 6 attack types in game, Pyro, hydro, anemo, lightning, lumino and umbro and a lot of demon wedges have their own type of elemental affinity thus if you got Pyro type wedge then it can only be equipped by Pyro characters.

Track shift modules essential helps to change the element of the demon wedges slot to any of your desired elements, thus matching it to the element of your wedge will effectively halve the tolerance requirement.

Each demon wedges slot of your characters and weapons have certain element assigned to it and each demon wedges have certain element type notified by a small elemental symbol on the top. Equipping the matching demon wedges to the matching slots will reduce the required Tolerance of the demon wedges by half. You don't always have to adhere to matching the elements but as you equip higher rarity demon wedges it'll require more and more tolerance. That is where track shift module comes into play.

Then there are Tolerance to your characters and weapons and each demon wedges have their own number of tolerance values. As you level up and ascend your characters and weapons, the tolerance cap increases and thus you can equip more demon wedges that require more Tolerance levels.

Demon wedges are kind of like an enhancement to your characters and weapons.
Here are the fundamentals: Demon wedges are modifiers that particularly target certain aspects of your char/weapons. There are two kinds of modifiers (sort of I think) one that directly modifies a certain stats like attack +75% and another kind that sort of adds an entirely new aspect to your characters/weapons like for example - when you dodge deal certain amount of Pyro damage.
