I assume the only way is by reducing the graphics to the lowest possible level. If it continues to freeze frequently, the only option is to wait for an update that provides better optimization for the game. You can try using some game boosting program (nothing that will modify the game's code, or that will be considered cheating), but there's a chance it won't make any difference.
