Quick question for everyone.

I’m seeing a lot of people being concerned with the grind for characters and weapons and demon wedges

Is this the type of grind that could make a lot of people quit the game? I haven’t played the game yet waiting on that global launch but shouldn’t most people be used to heavy grinds? From past games that they have played

I come from a game called warframe very heavy in grinding and I’m used to farming for days at a time to get the things I need to craft my characters and weapons so I don’t think it’s that bad but what’s really the worry here?

i feel like it should be a balance. not too little where u can get everything in a day but also not too much, because at the end of the day most people will maybe manage 10-15 hours a week lets be real and u should be able to get a character and the weapon and demon wedges before the new one comes out.

That’s a fair response
In other games where I farm a lot I get things in a few hours and I shift focus from grinding to making builds with the new stuff so it refreshes my gameplay loop. If DNA can nail this I think it will survive for a long time.

warframe felt like a part time job to me since there were just so many systems and points to grind everyday. And if I didn't do them, it felt like I was behind everyone else. Maybe those with a more relaxed personality will enjoy these types of games. we'll see what this game is like when it launches

I see. I didn’t think it was that bad cuz the game isn’t PvP there was no competition I just used what I found fun and had a good time. My personality is the calm patient type irl so maybe that’s why I resonate so much with games like these.

@Kyrium for me it is, people always find excuses to not put in work

Lol I know it’s just jokes but genuinely I’m curious what the worry is. maybe it’s a casual thing?
