Pre download error

Does anyone have the same problem? I’m trying to do the pre download for the game on IPhone (mine is an iPhone 13 with iOS 16 so there shouldn’t be a problem bc in the App Store it says my device is compatible) but when I open the app to download all the data, it says “failed to download” when it gets to 98% and to retry again (which ends up the same way)… I have like 20GB of space left after having the app so I thought it would be enough (HSR and Genshin take 20-28GB each and are 2-5 year old games, so a newer game shouldn’t be bigger than that, right?)

Does anyone have an idea what it might be the cause of this?

I have the same issue. Mine used to be 10,864 MB just like everyone else’s, but when my internet connection dropped and I had to reopen the app, the data size and download percentage got messed up.

@NoctisRaizel Agreed. Even HSR isn’t like this, I can leave the app halfway through the download & it's still fine

I deleted the app, retried again when it got stuck, I could finally download everything but I had to make even more space and keep resetting/retry the download until it was complete… I think this game has been the worst in the pre download aspect for me, not even with WuWa I had this problem (had to delete WuWa in the end bc Duet Night Abyss was taking so much more space than the 20GB for downloading, but when verifying the assets later on it stayed finally at 13GB…)

I've had the same problem but I brute force the hek out of it. But then I noticed you need to be on constant watch on the download. But when it was stuck even to i have access to high speed internet i just simply exited out of the game and logged in again, then it automatically downloaded the remaining downloads but had to keep an constant watch over it.
This would be helpful for Android Users FYI

Thanks for the tip, I tried it out and after some retry’s and making even more space, I could finally download it but my god it took a lot

Yeah, it’s a weird problem bc the device is on the list of compatible ones. I did finally download it all after a lot of retrys and having to make much more space for the app, I think the download was multiplying the assets for me bc it took more than 20GB of free space for it to somehow work but then I verified the assets after the download and it was only 13GB

I also checked my phone’s storage after downloading, and the game takes up almost 14 GB, so my theory is still in the system version

@NoctisRaizel idk.. but I see that being coming with mobile players.. esp. IOS. I saw one with 13GB.
