On the official Japanese stream, they showed us the ability to re-color characters, but only for limited skins. 

It has button for re-color, and some kinda icon on top right corner for this.

So since it requires some kind of resource to recolor each layer, why not allow players to recolor standard skins as well? 

Like this, we dont have any button or icon on top right, to re-color classic skin.

This feature already exists for standard weapon skins.

I don’t see any issues with this, to have this in a basic skins to.

This will make players more invested in the game. It creates different versions of a character, and they'll want to buy a new skin for their favorite hero because these skins will have different models and coloring options.

Perhaps some players will prefer the classic look, and by offering this freedom, players can choose how to customize their favorite character.

If recoloring is limited only to premium skins, some players might feel forced to buy a skin for a particular character just to color it, say, completely black or pink.

I think you understand what I'm getting at.

I hope the developers have considered this option and will give players the freedom to express themselves. If not, then I hope they don't lock all customization entirely behind skins. That's just my opinion, of course. After all, I've spent a lot of time in Warframe as a FashionFrame enthusiast 🫠
